Welcome!

Hey friends! My name is Claire Wilson, and I'm a newlywed and new home owner living with my husband Barkley and our cat Carole (named after Carole Lombard, not Carole Baskin) in Tulsa, OK. I'm a financial analyst by day, but have a major passion for interior design and home decor.

My love affair with design started when I rented my first apartment - my beloved bachelorette pad. I spent nine months dreaming about the decor scheme for my new place, while trying to work around my budget and the fact that it was a rental. The idea for This Little Refuge came about while I was planning that apartment - it was my first place completely on my own, and I knew I wanted my home to feel sophisticated and welcoming, as a refuge from the stresses and challenges of the outside world.

Since beginning my Instagram, I've moved twice - once to my first newlywed apartment, and back in August my husband and I officially moved into our first home together! We love our home more than anything, but knew that there were cosmetic updates we'd want to make to make it fully our own. Because of that, I decided to participate in the Fall 2020 One Room Challenge to make over our kitchen and our breakfast nook. I'm so excited to get started!
